Using Norma

A plain-English guide to working with Norma โ€” ask in your own words, let it read and create SAP documents, approve any writes, and see every step in the audit.

Norma is your assistant for getting things done in SAP. You tell it what you want in plain language, and it takes care of the steps.

Just ask, in your own words

There is no special syntax to learn. Type what you want the way you would ask a colleague:

  • “List the open invoices for Acme Corp.”
  • “Show me the sales orders from last week.”
  • “Create a sales order for Acme Corp with 2 Widgets.”

Norma works out which SAP information to look up or which document to prepare, and does it for you.

Reading and creating

Norma can read your SAP data to answer questions, and it can create SAP documents such as sales orders on your behalf. Reading happens right away. Creating something new is treated more carefully โ€” see below.

Writes need your approval

Anything that changes SAP โ€” creating or updating a document โ€” pauses and asks you first. Norma shows you exactly what it is about to do, and nothing is written until you press Approve. If it is not what you meant, you can reject it and try again. You are always in control of what gets saved.

Every step is audited

Norma shows its work. Each task has an Audit tab that records every step it took โ€” what it looked up, what it decided, and what it did โ€” so you can always see how an answer or a document came to be. Nothing happens behind your back.

In short

  • Ask in plain language.
  • Norma reads and can create SAP documents.
  • Writes wait for your approval.
  • Every step is audited and visible to you.
